Framed Print of A lop-sided podium finisher

Having blown up his big BMW (the rules did not allow 500s to run in the 750 Sidecar), Heinz Luthringhauser put an oversize barrel on one side of his 500 to get his start money. The off-beat engine ran well and he finished second to Siegfried Schauzu. When the bike was measured, they took the small barrel off and wanted to exclude him. They were told to tke the other barrel off, the mis-matched pair added up to over 500CC. BikeSport TT Race Pics feature the FoTTofinder Bikesport Archives of Isle of Man TT Race photographs.
